Meet Our Team

Dr. Manju Arora

Veterinarian

Dr. Arora has been a veterinarian for over 15 years and graduated with distinction from the Ontario Veterinary College in 2000. She later completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in 2006 from the Sauder School of Business at UBC. Dr. Arora has worked in veterinary clinics, industry and management.

Her areas of special interest include wellness and preventative medicine, comprehensive pain management, and caring for senior pets. She has visited over 150 veterinary hospitals in British Columbia and has taken her experience to create a Fear Free veterinary hospital based on the research led by Dr. Marty Becker.

Queen’s Park Pet Hospital is equipped with advanced equipment including digital body and dental x-ray to help provide pets with the quality of care they deserve, provided by a skilled and compassionate team.

Dr. Arora loves hiking, running and spending time with her two cats Meena (adopted from the BCSPCA 12 years ago), and “baby” Opal (adopted from the New Westminster Animal Shelter).

She enjoys giving back to the community by working with the local shelter, Hugabull Rescue, and Northwest Greyhound League.

Dr. Laura Kiehlbauch

Veterinarian

Dr. Kiehlbauch grew up in Salmon Arm, B.C. and completed her Bachelor of Science with Honours in Animal Studies at UBC.  She then enrolled in the Western College of Veterinary Medicine and graduated in 2008.  After graduation she worked in a rural mixed animal practice in the B.C. interior, where she treated an array of domestic animals and one semi-wild serval cat.

Her approach to veterinary medicine is aligned with Queen’s Park Pet Hospital’s Fear Free philosophy, so she was very happy to join our team.  She has a special interest in feline medicine, dentistry, and surgery.

When she is not posting online videos of her two crazy cats (The Kid and Keanu), she can be found snowboarding the local hills, rocking out at concerts, bottle raising orphaned kittens for local rescue groups, and helping at her new volunteer work with the Canadian Animal Assistant Team. She will be traveling to the Dominican Republic to volunteer her help at a spay and neuter clinic. She looks forward to meeting the wonderful clients and patients at Queen’s Park Pet Hospital!

Dr. Rifat Alibhai

Veterinarian

Dr. Rifat Alibhai earned her Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine and Surgery degree from The University of Edinburgh in 2003. She has extensive experience working in small animal clinics in the United Kingdom and in Canada.

Her special interests include internal medicine, surgery, dermatology and
geriatric care. She treasures the human animal bond and enjoys
partnering with pet owners to provide comprehensive and compassionate
care for their pets.

She shares her home with her husband and two children, fish and a
Labradoodle puppy named Bilbo Baggins. Her hobbies include culinary
experiments, listening to music, reading and kayaking.

Sarah

Registered Veterinary Technician

Sarah graduated from the Animal Health Technology program at Douglas College in 2011. She first became interested in working with animals at a very young age.

Her areas of interest include anesthesia, dentistry, and nutrition. Her favourite part of being a Registered Veterinary Technician at Queen's Park Pet Hospital is using her nursing skills to make a scared and uncomfortable pet feel safe.

In her free time Sarah loves spending time with her two adorable Pomeranians, Lola and Zeke and her cat, Steve Purrwin (adopted from the New Westminster Animal Shelter). She also enjoys attending concerts, travelling with her dogs and exploring our beautiful province.

Natasha

Registered Veterinary Technician

Natasha graduated from the Animal Health Technology program at Douglas College in 2015.

She has always had a love for animals. Her passion developed for the field while working as a kennel assistant at her first job - and from that moment she has never looked back.

She is elated to apply her skills as a Registered Technician at Queens Park Pet Hospital. Her interests include anesthesia, radiology and behavior modification. It always makes her happy to watch the patients leave more comfortable and healthier than when they arrived!

At home Natasha likes to hang out with her Westie-poo Smartie, who is spoiled rotten. She is also an avid cat lover, and plans one day to have her own senior pet rescue. On her days off you can find her watching Disney movies, going to concerts and hiking in her favourite weather - Vancouver rain.

Brittany

Registered Veterinary Technician

Brittany graduated from the accredited Veterinary Technology program at Douglas College in 2015. She has worked in practices specializing in emergency medicine and veterinary ophthalmology. She is excited to return to general practice where she can apply her technicial skills. Brittany is enjoying her new role with the Fear Free accredited team at our hospital.

Brittany’s areas of interest include advanced anesthesia and pain control and building relationships with pet owners. She is passionate about providing comprehensive and gentle care to senior and geriatric patients. As veterinary medicine continues to progress, Brittany participates in regular continuing
education to keep her knowledge current.

When she is not at work, Brittany can be found cooking, baking, and gardening. She also enjoys spending time with her two dogs, Zola and Albert. In the summer, she explores new camping locations with her family.

Kelly

Registered Veterinary Technician

Kelly joined the veterinary world as a volunteer after living in Australia. Kelly graduated from the Animal Health Technology program at Douglas College in 2010.

She shares her home with five adorable pets, Coco the Cockapoo, Daisymay the Siamese Mix, Pretzel the Tabby cat, Sally the rebellious kitten and Tuwee a rescued Chihuahua mix.

Outside of work, Kelly loves to travel and has visited more than 25 countries! When travelling she enjoys visiting wildlife parks and animal sanctuaries.

Alice

Client Care Specialist

Alice graduated from the Granville Business College in 2001 as a Veterinary Office Assistant. She has worked in veterinary hospitals since then and is proud to promote the “fear-free environment” at Queen’s Park Pet Hospital.

Alice excels in client care and enjoys providing compassionate care to clients and pets in times of stress. She loves all pets, but has a special interest in rabbit care and enjoys providing client education to pet owners.

In her spare time Alice can be found gardening in her vegetable patch, birdwatching and camping with her family.

Lisa

Veterinary Assistant

Lisa graduated from the Veterinary Office and Animal Care program at Douglas College in 2010.  Since she was young she has had a passion for pets. Lisa is a “Feline Advocate” for Queen’s Park Pet Hospital being a Gold Certified Cat Friendly Practice.

Her hobbies include music, fitness and spending time with her roommate Dragon, a 15 year old grey and brown tabby.

Cristine

Veterinary Assistant

Before Cristine started work in the veterinary field, she was pursuing a career in law enforcement. She found herself spending more time with animals than she was on her school work. Cristine switched to the Veterinary Office Assistant program at Douglas College in 2015.

Her interests include positive reinforcement training and animal behaviour. Cristine has two dogs at home, Jacobo, a Coonhound and Blaze, a German Shepherd cross. One of her favourite things to do is to go on hikes with her dogs. On hot days, Blaze loves to stay in the water while his lazy brother, Jacobo, sunbathes on the grass.

Cristine also enjoys bike rides along the Stanley Park seawall and curling up with her dogs on rainy days to watch her favourite shows.

Vivian

VeterinaryAssistant

Vivian graduated from the Veterinary Office and Animal Care program at Douglas College in 2017. She always wanted to work in the animal field for as long as she can remember. Vivian hopes to always provide the best care for your beloved furry ones. She is proud to be part of our Fear Free team!

Aside from having a passion for animals, Vivian also has a huge passion for drawing and art. Her hobbies and interests include music, swimming and going out with friends to explore our beautiful city.

We are committed to providing a Fear Free environment for dogs, cats, and the families who love them.
