Meet Our Team

Dr. Manju Arora
Veterinarian

Dr. Arora has been a veterinarian for over 15 years and graduated with distinction from the Ontario Veterinary College in 2000. She later completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in 2006 from the Sauder School of Business at UBC. Dr. Arora has worked in veterinary clinics, industry and management.

Her areas of special interest include wellness and preventative medicine, comprehensive pain management, and caring for senior pets. She has visited over 150 veterinary hospitals in British Columbia and has taken her experience to create a Fear Free veterinary hospital based on the research led by Dr. Marty Becker.

Queen’s Park Pet Hospital is equipped with advanced equipment including digital body and dental x-ray to help provide pets with the quality of care they deserve, provided by a skilled and compassionate team.

Dr. Arora loves hiking, running and spending time with her two cats Meena (adopted from the BCSPCA 12 years ago), and “baby” Opal (adopted last year from the New Westminster Animal Shelter).

She enjoys giving back to the community by working with the local shelter, Hugabull Rescue, and Northwest Greyhound League.

Dr. Sarah Holden
Veterinarian

Dr. Holden completed her undergraduate degree at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario where she studied biology and psychology. She then attended veterinary school in Dublin, Ireland at University College Dublin. This allowed her to combine her love of animals with a love of travel.

Dr. Holden’s areas of special interest include dentistry and dermatology. After working in small animal practice in Kamloops and White Rock, she is happy to be working full time with the pets of New Westminster.

Outside of work, Dr. Holden is currently training to run the BMO Half Marathon, and enjoys taking spin and yoga classes. She has an ancient toothless Chihuahua called Andy who comes to work every day and loves to meet all the pet owners. On occasion, her young Brussels Griffon Harold is also at the clinic looking for ways to cause trouble.

Dr. Laura Kiehlbauch
Veterinarian

Dr. Kiehlbauch grew up in Salmon Arm, B.C. and completed her Bachelor of Science with Honours in Animal Studies at UBC.  She then enrolled in the Western College of Veterinary Medicine and graduated in 2008.  After graduation she worked in a rural mixed animal practice in the B.C. interior, where she treated an array of domestic animals and one semi-wild serval cat.

Her approach to veterinary medicine is aligned with Queen’s Park Pet Hospital’s Fear Free philosophy, so she was very happy to join our team.  She has a special interest in feline medicine, dentistry, and surgery.

When she is not posting online videos of her two crazy cats (The Kid and Keanu), she can be found snowboarding the local hills, rocking out at concerts, bottle raising orphaned kittens for local rescue groups, and helping at her new volunteer work with the Canadian Animal Assistant Team. She will be traveling to the Dominican Republic to volunteer her help at a spay and neuter clinic. She looks forward to meeting the wonderful clients and patients at Queen’s Park Pet Hospital!

Sarah
Registered Veterinary Technician

Sarah graduated from the Animal Health Technology program at Douglas College in 2011. She first became interested in working with animals at a very young age.

Her areas of interest include anesthesia, nursing care, and nutrition. Her favourite part of being a Registered Veterinary Technician at Queen's Park Pet Hospital is using her nursing skills to make a scared and uncomfortable pet feel safe.

In her free time Sarah loves spending time with her two adorable Pomeranians, Lola and Zeke and her newly adopted cat, Steve Purrwin (adopted from the New Westminster Animal Shelter). She also enjoys attending concerts, watching Doctor Who and exploring our beautiful province.

Natasha
Registered Veterinary Technician

Natasha graduated from the Animal Health Technology program at Douglas College in 2015.

She has always had a love for animals. Her passion developed for the field while working as a kennel assistant at her first job - and from that moment she has never looked back.

She is elated to apply her skills as a Registered Technician at Queens Park Pet Hospital. Her interests include anesthesia, radiology and behavior modification. It always makes her happy to watch the patients leave more comfortable and healthier than when they arrived!

At home Natasha likes to hang out with her Westie-poo Smartie, who is spoiled rotten. She is also an avid cat lover, and plans one day to have her own senior pet rescue. On her days off you can find her watching Disney movies, going to concerts and hiking in her favourite weather - Vancouver rain.

Alice
Client Care Specialist

Alice graduated from the Granville Business College in 2001 as a Veterinary Office Assistant. She has worked in veterinary hospitals since then and is proud to promote the “fear-free environment” at Queen’s Park Pet Hospital.

Alice excels in client care and enjoys providing compassionate care to clients and pets in times of stress. She loves all pets, but has a special interest in rabbit care and enjoys providing client education to pet owners.

In her spare time Alice can be found gardening in her vegetable patch, birdwatching and camping with her family.

Lisa
Veterinary Assistant

Lisa graduated from the Veterinary Office and Animal Care program at Douglas College in 2010.  Since she was young she has had a passion for pets. Lisa is a “Feline Advocate” for Queen’s Park Pet Hospital being a Gold Certified Cat Friendly Practice.

Her hobbies include music, fitness and spending time with her roommate Dragon, a 15 year old grey and brown tabby.

Angelo
Veterinary Assistant

After years as a Nursing Unit Clerk and Hospital Assistant in a human hospital, Angelo took sabbatical to pursue his passion in Culinary Arts. Missing the clinical setting and wanting to return, he combined his love for animals with his previous experience in health care. Angelo graduated with a Veterinary Assistant Diploma from Granville College in 2012.

He is also a member of (CAAT) The Canadian Animal Assistance Team and a very proud owner of a Golden Retriever named Tzina (pronounced Gina) who was brought back with him after living abroad in Greece.

Angelo enjoys providing compassionate and gentle nursing care to all of our patients, and enjoys educating owners about topics related to the welfare of their pets.

Cristine
Veterinary Assistant

Before Cristine started work in the veterinary field, she was pursuing a career in law enforcement. She found herself spending more time with animals than she was on her school work. Cristine switched to the Veterinary Office Assistant program at Douglas College in 2015.

Her interests include positive reinforcement training and animal behaviour. Cristine has two dogs at home, Jacobo, a Coonhound and Blaze, a German Shepherd cross. One of her favourite things to do is to go on hikes with her dogs. On hot days, Blaze loves to stay in the water while his lazy brother, Jacobo, sunbathes on the grass.

Cristine also enjoys bike rides along the Stanley Park seawall and curling up with her dogs on rainy days to watch her favourite shows.

We are committed to providing a Fear Free environment for dogs, cats, and the families who love them.

We are open 7 days a week.
